Every year, International Women’s Day has a unique theme and hashtags. The focus for 2026 is “Give to Gain”. International Women’s Day 2026 brings a message that resonates deeply with our community: “Give to Gain.” It’s a simple yet profound idea; the act of giving strengthens us all.

Whether it’s through mentorship, sharing industry knowledge, donating to a cause, or simply using your voice to advocate for equality, every contribution matters. The “Give To Gain” philosophy highlights the power of reciprocity. It shows that supporting women isn’t a zero-sum game; it’s an intentional strategy for collective growth.

At ABM College, we see this every day in the classroom. When students support each other, and instructors share their wisdom, we create an environment where everyone succeeds. This International Women’s Day 2026, let’s remember that by contributing to the success of women, we are building a stronger future for our entire community.

Let’s Talk About Our Department Managers and Moms – International Women’s Day 2026

Many of our strongest Managers are playing a double role as mothers, too. Let’s hear from our women managers at ABM College about how they manage the work alongside their kids. Double the responsibility makes them stronger women and proud mothers. They were asked what’s the best part about your day – either here at work or at home with your kid? And another is, if you had one free hour just for yourself, how would you spend it?

Weekdays – when I come home from work and finally get a quiet moment to relax and reset. Weekends – definitely sleeping in and then deciding whether I’m being productive or doing absolutely nothing. Answering her second question, she replies, if you had one free hour just for yourself, how would you spend it? Probably in my room, on “do not disturb”, some music on, and just fully relaxing. No responsibilities for one hour sounds perfect.

At work, the most fulfilling part of my day is helping someone move forward. Whether it’s guiding a student through funding questions or solving an overwhelming problem for me. But at home, everything shifts. The best part of my day with my child is the moment he sees me.

Especially after I’ve been busy, that little run toward me, the way he wants to be carried right away, the random giggles over something so small, those moments reset everything. It’s just the connection we have; it’s messy, unpredictable, sometimes exhausting, but deeply grounding. Work challenges my mind, but motherhood stretches my heart.

The best part of my day is that quiet moment when both worlds collide peacefully. At work, it’s the creative rush when the team finally works on a strategy, and everything clicks with more leads. But honestly, the real highlight is walking through the door at home. My daughters usually tackle me with hugs, and for five minutes, nothing else exists. Later, when they’re asleep, I sneak back into their room just to watch them breathe. It’s cliché, but that stillness reminds me why I push so hard during the day.

If I had one free hour just for myself? I wouldn’t clean, catch up on emails, or do meal prep. I’d grab a tea and sit and think about myself without having anything to do with marketing metrics or school pick-up times. It sounds simple, but for a brain that’s always juggling two kids and a full department, an hour of unstructured quiet would be pure luxury.

What’s the best part about your day – either here at work or at home with your kid?

The best part of my day is the balance between work and home. At work, I enjoy collaborating with my team. At home, spending time with my child is the most rewarding part; it’s the moment when I can relax and simply enjoy being present with her.

If you had one free hour just for yourself, how would you spend it?

If I had one free hour just for myself, I would spend it doing something relaxing, perhaps enjoying a quiet cup of tea, watching my favourite show, going for a short walk, or simply unwinding with my child. This International Women’s Day, I wish all women a Happy International Women’s Day.

Every woman is special in their own way. Happy International Women’s Day!
