    If you’re looking for a budget friendly, family focused event, then Light up the Square is a great option! This is an annual community tree lighting event. There are plenty of elements for every member of the family to enjoy, from singing carols to Christmas treats or even a horse-drawn wagon ride!     Go Ice Skating

    There’s no doubt that December and January are the coldest months of the year. For those who love ice skating, there are plenty of outdoor rinks to visit. Olympic Plaza skating rink is an easily accessible rink in Downtown. The rink opens from 6 am to 11 pm. The interesting fact about this rink is it is the only refrigerated outdoor ice skating rink which is skate-ready even on warmer days.     If you have visited the Olympic Plaza and now you want something different, check out Bowness Park! It is located around 20 minutes outside the Central Business District (CBD). Not only the rink, but it also offers a 1.6 km ice trail through the park. This is a perfect place for you, if you are bored with the circle rinks. You can try this trail and have experience something new.

    This is the time to experience the jungles of India with The Jungle Book by Alberta Theatre Projects. This would be a perfect escape for you from your regular day-to-day activities. This comes with a popular Thrust Stage configuration and is a new Canadian Adoption. It is happening at Martha Cohen Theatre from all month long until December 31. You can book your tickets online and can get other details on the Alberta Theatre Project website.  In order to understand our place in the world, exploring different themes of courage and the identity we hold is shown in this. So it is right to say, The Jungle Book’s coming-of-age story is as relevant today as it was when the stories were originally written. The show is recommended for audience members six and above.
